Bio

Mark is an award-winning Boston based actor. A Massachusetts native, he has performed across New England as a professional vocalist, actor, and dancer. Mark specializes in musical theater and performs regularly in plays, television commercials, industrials and film.

Mark received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theater from Emerson College in Boston, where he studied acting, voice, stage combat and dance. He is a lifelong student of the saxophone and piano, both jazz and classical, and he also plays guitar and ukulele. Mark is trained in advanced tap and musical theater dance as well as juggling & puppeteering.

Mark has worked at numerous professional theaters across the Northeast, including Boston’s Lyric Stage Company, New Repertory Theatre, Stoneham Theatre/Greater Boston Stage Company, Reagle Music Theatre, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Moonbox Productions, Wheelock Family Theater, Foothills Theatre, Fiddlehead Theater, Next Door Center for the Arts, The Hanover Theatre in Worcester, and the Papermill Theater in Lincoln, N.H., playing such roles as Tony in West Side Story, Jamie in The Last Five Years (Best Actor in a Musical, Broadway World Boston), Tom in The Glass Menagerie, Homer Collins in Floyd Collins, Professor Harold Hill in the Music Man, and Gaston in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Mark has also appeared in three major motion pictures: Shutter Island, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, in which Mark appears as an SS Guard; Surrogates, starring Bruce Willis, in which he performed several sequences of stunt work and on-set driving; and in the Boston-based comedy Ted, starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.

Mark is a licensed secondary history teacher who taught at Somerville High School in Somerville, MA for five years. Mark also served as Director of Youth Programs at the Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston from 2010 through 2012. He is also an experienced emcee, having hosted the Reagle, Greater Boston Stage, New Repertory and Wheelock Theatre annual fundraising galas many times, as well as the annual Stoneham Star Talent Show. Since 2017, he has performed at the annual Banned in Boston fundraiser gala at the House of Blues, most famously stealing the show as “King George III” in a send-up of the popular Hamilton song; he also wrote, and rapped, a parody of “Alexander Hamilton” at the New Repertory Theatre Gala in April 2017.

Mark works regularly as an on-camera historical expert for The Travel Channel’s Mysteries at the Museum program and is the face of the N.H. Community College System’s multi-platform marketing campaign to increase enrollment and program awareness.
